How long of a movie can I record without a memory card inserted in my digital camera?

Can I take a picture without a memory card inserted in my digital camera?
Yes, the user can take pictures even if a SD card is not in the camera. Please see FAQ #1 for more information about the number of pictures your camera is capable of storing.
Why doesn't my camera recognize a Secure Digital (SD) memory card?
The cause and solution may include one of the following:
- The card may not be certified SD. Please purchase a certified SD memory card. For example: Sandisk, Toshiba, Panasonic, etc.
- The card may be corrupt. Reformat the memory card.
CAUTION: Formatting deletes all pictures and videos, including those that are protected. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card. - The card is not fully inserted in the camera. Turn off the camera, insert a card into the slot, then push to seat it.
How can I erase the entire card on my camera quickly? Is there a way I can clear the card?
Go to 'playback' mode --> press MENU button --> select Setup menu --> Format option--> Yes
I find all the different memory cards confusing. What's the difference?
In today’s world of digital cameras there are many different types of memory cards. Most camera manufacturers choose their card formats based on what kind of card fits best for their cameras. The important point is to make sure that the card you buy is the right type for your camera. If you are not sure make sure it is probably best to buy from your local camera or electronics shop where the staff should be able to help you. The most common type of card is the SD (Secure Digital) card used by your GE digital camera. The cards are made by a variety of manufactures under a number of different brands.
I keep getting Card Error? Is my camera faulty?

How many pictures can I store on the, Secure Digital (SD) memory card?
As a rule, the higher the quality setting of the camera and the more complex the background (for example, pictures of trees in autumn are more complex than a blue sky), the fewer the pictures that can be stored. The size of the card, the file format, and camera file compression are other determining factors.
Can I use a 2 GB Secure Digital (SD) memory card in my G1?
Yes, you can use a SD card for up to 4 GB.
