General Imaging cameras win prestigious awards in Japan
General Imaging (GIC), Gardena, Calif., exclusive licensee of GE branded digital cameras, has received two Gold Awards inthe 2010 Summer VGP Digital Camera Grand Prix, a consumer products guide book published in Japan.
The compact GE E1486TW and GE C1033 digital cameras each received honors for their outstanding performance and value. The panel of VGP judges, comprised of major home electronics retailers, photographers and audiovisual critics, praised General Imaging’s expertise in developing “high performance cameras at an economical price.”
The GE E1486TW and GE C1033 were also recognized for their visual appeal. The panel selected the two award-winning GE cameras from among more than 450 camera entries and 80 companies.
GE says the 14-megapixel GE E1486TW is among the thinnest 8X optical zoom cameras available, at only 0.83 inches thick. Featuring an innovative touch screen control, the E1486TW puts form and function at your fingertips, where a simple swipe lets you scroll through recent shots and to zoom and out. The budget-priced C1033 offers 10 megapixels, 3X optical zoom, operates on standard AA batteries, and is available in black, silver and red
